Crazy Thoughts…

According to The Online Wire, offshore sportsbook, BetCRIS.com, is planning to buy an island.

“BetCRIS sports book announced its interest in purchasing Sealand, a self-declared independent territory six miles off the coast of England.“

Well is not truly an Island but a platform in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean some “extravagant” rich guy turn into a country (or princedom) . What I’m thinking is why the heck owners of a stablished well known sportsbook are planning to buy a reeeeeally expensive piece of burned junk when they have beautifull offices in Costa Rica?

Eric Williamson, head of international operations for BetCRIS gave an explanation:

“[Buying Sealand] we could write our own laws, and it would be pretty hard to extradite us.”

Sounds pretty logical to me… Oh wait a second not to me but to the green dragon sitting next to me.

In the run to buy the island is also torrent site giant Piratebay.org they are hoping to get donations from users to reach their goal.
